City Theatre’s CityWrights is the 2nd annual professional symposium held during its Summer Shorts Festival in June. It is the only dedicated symposium in the region that brings together both national and local playwrights with master playwrights as well as agents, publishers, actors, directors, technology experts, and artistic and business leaders working in the national theater community. CityWrights goes to the heart of a playwright's craft by offering master classes and workshops, readings and dialogue that concentrate on craft, technique and creative development. Also, panels and forums are held to inform and explore the artistic, professional and technological developments impacting the way playwrights are working today.

The following sessions will be livestreamed on #NEWPLAY TV at newplaytv.info. To participate in online discussion with the panelists and attendees, put the hashtag "#newplay" in your Twitter messages to get seen. Consider hosting a "Watch Party" in your home community using this tool: meetup.com/newplaytv.
