Livestreaming Schedule:

Saturday 26 July: Almost No One Sees Your Facebook Posts: How to be more effective with Marketing

The digital market has become the foremost arena for publicizing and selling a show—whether you are a playwright, director, or an actor, Internet literacy is only the beginning. Have your questions answered by experts in online marketing to garner the publicity and audience your performances deserve.

9 a.m.-11 a.m. PDT (San Francisco)/ 12 p.m.-2 p.m. EDT (New York)

Saturday 26 July: Translating the Untenable

Three of our playwrights who tackle intricate real-world issues—from postcolonialism to social justice, the war in Iraq to the inequalities between male and female soldiers—will explore the process of transforming these issues into plays that are able to inform and engage audiences as only the theatre can. Bring your own questions and thoughts to the discussion of how to translate what may not be discussed at the dinner table into a conversation with the community at large.

2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. PDT (San Francisco)/ 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT (New York)

Sunday 27 July: Deepening the Talent Pool

Beginning with the notion that the Deaf theatre community and performers with disabilities should be employed to fill roles written about them, we’ll explore the reasons and means to employ them in more mainstream roles as well. Come make new connections and share your own success stories. Pizza will be provided.

2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. PDT (San Francisco)/ 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT (New York)
